The Banque centrale du Luxembourg, a member of the Eurosystem, is seeking an expert in capital markets and credit developments for its Economics and Research Department 

Economist (MA/PhD) (m/f)

Full time, two-year contract (réf.: ECO/007/12)

Main tasks and responsibilities:

- Monitoring and analysis of capital markets, credit and monetary aggregates 

- Implementation and analysis of the Eurosystem Bank Lending Survey in Luxembourg 

- Preparation of briefing notes, reports and publications on this subject 

- Participation in national and international meetings in this area 

- Preparation and presentation of research for publication in academic journals 

Qualifications, experience and skills:

- M.A. in economics or econometrics. A PhD would be an advantage 

- Knowledge of capital markets, credit and monetary aggregates 

- Experience with central banking or academic research would be an advantage 

- Excellent command of French. English, German or Luxembourgish an advantage 

- Ability to communicate to peers, managers and policymakers 

- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
